What's On Your Tikka?(Bases and Rings)

WRT bases and rings, what are most of you Tikka owners putting on your T3s? Are the OptiLocks worth the money and why/why not? I am debating a set, but I currently have Weaver bases/rings that seem to do the trick just fine. I have Millets on another T3, and Im not real sure I'd go with them again. I await your input.

I got Talley light weight one piece on mine. Optilocks are from all accounts are solid however heavier than most other bases and from what I understand very pricey.

I bought a set of millet rings, just because that and weaver was all that my local shop had. I am happy with them.

I've got an EGW base on order from Cyber K (member here) 20 MOA rise. Undecided about rings.............

On one of my Tikkas I have the Burris Signature rings and bases. These are the rings with an insert, which is a good thing because the screw holes were ever so slightly out of alignment. With an offset insert everything now lines up and is nice and straight.

My other Tikka used to have the Millet rings on it. They worked alright but I replaced them with a set of Talley Lightweights. One Millet ring weighs the same as both of the Talleys - they really are lightweight!

i have optilocks on one and a set of bruno rings on the other. they fit the dovetail fine. if you have a heavy recoiler i would invest in the optilocks. tried millets and removed them. also used redfield bases and turn in rings on aa 7 o8 i no longer own one and it worked well. out of all of them i like the bruno rings the best, there sompact and have no bases to loosen.

EGW 25 MOA base and Nightforce rings. The EGW is aluminum, I would have preferred steel but it seems a lot more solid than the original flat Tikka rail.

Although the OptiLocks are expensive and a little on the heavier side, they are a very solid set up. Mine haven't changed their zero since I sighted my rifle in 3 years ago.

Tikka Tactical Standard Piccatiny rail + TPS rings

I wouldnt mind upgrading the rail to a 20MOA rail someday.

I have both Optilocks and Leupold's scope mounts on my Sako and Tikka rifles. The Optilocks are quite expensive but they worth it. They are rock solid and I have never have to re sight any my scopes. Leupold mounts and rings are good too.

I have Leupold windage adjustable mounts and low rings on mine. I have these on other rifles and quite enjoy them.

I put Leupold rings and bases on my T3. Even slid as far forward as I could get it the scope was still too close for comfort. I ended up drilling and tapping two holes to move the bases ahead whatever distance the spacing between the screws is. Done again I'd try a rail. The Opilock rings are solid, but I couldn't get the mounting flexibility I needed out of them.For most that wouldn't be a problem.
