I'm bedding a B&C stock for a 700 AAC. I've bedded other stocks and used epoxy before but I'm wondering if there's anything better. Thanks.

Pro-Form , Panel Bonding Epoxy Adhesive.24hr for full set, 90 minute work time.

Also has media in it that prevents over clamping/tightening and squeezing out the product.

I believe all bedding material is epoxy... some are better than others. Brownells AcraGlas and AcraGel have been a favorite for many years.

Ive only used Devcon but I say the best stuff would be the stuff thats easy to work with and cures the hardest. You would have to look at the numbers to see.

I've taken to using JB weld as it's easy to find and a lot less expensive than devcon. I've yet to find a reason to change back.

Have also used acra glass with fine results.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I think I'll try marine tex since it seems to be the most popular one.

Is this the right one? https://www.amazon.ca/Marine-Tex-Mighty-Repair-Kit/dp/B0014419V0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478560971&sr=8-1&keywords=marine+tex

Yeah that's the right stuff.... almost.
That listing is for white, find the grey stuff. I bedded a rifle with the white stuff, all I could find at the time. Not worth it, looks terrible, had to grind it out and do it again.
The Marine tex is my favorite after trying devcon, marine tex, and JB weld.

OK thanks I'll look for a gray one. Maybe my LHS will have one in stock. Cheers.

I have done 3 rifles now (including an M14, talk about a job and a half...) and only used Marine Tex.
It's very easy to work with and seems to hold up extremely well.
If you can patch a boat hull with it and then put the boat back on the water you know it has to be something good.
I have no experience with any other type though so that's a biased opinion but an experienced one. Nothing bad to say about it.

The grey(its almost black) marine tex does work really well, I find it easier to apply than devcon and marine tex makes nicer edges where it'll be visible, if you work it right.

Acetone cleans it really well, just watch that you don't put the acetone on vanish or other stuff that it'll melt.
