I have and Excaliber but my back is Fuked so im thinking Compound Cross bow again.
I used to have a Barnet Rhino and loved it. The Exocet is Way more accurate but i need something easyer to ####.
I know you can buy the $200 cranking aid but thats way to slow.
i used to be able to #### my Barnet after each shot fast without Ropes and pullys ect.

Anything new and intresting in the crossbow World over the last 7 years :)

Barnett has a few new models and has updated some of the old ones. Some of them shoot faster than your Equinox with still just 150lb pull. Some of the models have sound dampening coating on the limbs. How bad did your Rhino shoot? I have an older than dirt Barnett Demon that can consistantly put 6 bolts touching at 20yds with field points or broadheads. I don't shoot groups anymore with the broadheads though, it wrecks too many blades and I have to re-fletch a bunch of bolts when I'm done.

Ten Point I have a titan and a bad back. extremely accurate with a red dot sight to 50 yds

A titan eh! i think i was looking at one.
Im keeping my Excaliber but want a Compound.
I know i will use it more if its easyer to ####.

I have a gen 1 Yukon NV scope i figger it would be so cool shooting targets off the back porch at night in my new lawn chair :D (If that is Legal?) i cant see why it would not be legal besides only someone else with a NV scope will know im doing it LOL
Im way in the sticks so to speak i shoot off my porch all the time dureing the day.

See in the Dark and silence cant do better than that. ;)
Most people dont have a Clue how good modern Crossbows really are.

20 to 50 Yds is my Max shooting most of the time.

Darton is reliable. Stryker is wicked fast.

OK i Checked out the Stryker it looks great but of Course they dont sell them in Canada right ?
I found a few in the USA

The Titan has that Cocking thing built right in the Stock how does that work ?

The two id buy so far Cabalas Canada dont carry either of them.

Barnett has many 150lb. models that shoot faster than most everybody else's models with higher poundage. However, in my opinion the best compound crossbow is TenPoint.

Get a crank

Well i looked at the Excaliber crank then go look at the ten point how it works on the titan.
I like it as its there all the time way better idea than Excalibers.
I love my Excaliber but my back sure dont.
Im leaning towards Tenpoint titan.

I dont care about the cost of the Ten point Good design is worth more money! they musta had people with bad backs at that company.

my Excaliber was like $800 so whats a few hunderd more to be lazy like a coon in a lawn chair :D

The Ten point draws the rope back in nice and neat by itself! not a big mess like i have now with my rope cocking aid now.

Im impressed with there Bows (ten point) they even have one with Two Types and diffrent sets of limbs Compound and Long bow style like Excaliber.

Dingus, excaliber sells a winch type as well as a rope type cocking aid that makes even cocking the Equinox reasonable. I have also seen the winch mounted to a board and cocked on a tailgate of a pickup. The rope type might not be good for you as you have to bend over. They make it alot easier.

Try installing a longer rope on your existing cocking aid. It worked for someone else i know. Cammed bows have own problems... tuning, snagging on branches, and the requirement of a bow press to change the string.

LOL Freezer Filler thats a great Name!

goes great with a crossbow!

I love the looks of them Strykers.
I had a Rhino loved it but the Excaliber is better more flat shooting more accurate Holly crap that thing is so Accurate i cant shoot at the same piont of Aim or i might Wreck my carbon fiber Bolts!

I listened to Everyone here (a few Years ago) that told me Oh Dingus buy a Excaliber there the best! and they were All RIGHT! But the thing cripples me up like a Dog fuking a football for a week!

So i thought Keep it but buy a newer Compound to see if they are improved.

I can get a Excaliber crank for $119 US on Ebay.

I was looking at the new BARNET PREADATORs Holly smoke thats a wicked looking machine. Cheep to like $600

I want one set up just for night Target shooting so buying another one is gona happen.

I found a TITAN Ten point in Canada for $869 Can funds and its got the Acu draw 50.
Im thinking of grabing it.
They have the new Barnet Preadators as well the compleat kit with scope ect is $850

I think the Titan would be money well spent tho.

One day at the bowshop, a young guy came in with a cocked Barnett crossbow which he had bought stateside. It had a broken trigger, i think he may have pulled it too hard with the safety on but don't know for sure as he wouldn't admit it. Anyways, the shop owner had him put it into his soft case and bounce it off the floor a bit in an effort to release the string. It didn't work. This experience was enough for me to not even consider buying one of those, i still wonder how he made out... i wonder if he shipped it back that way.:(

Titans are supose to have good Triggers.
I wish someone thats shoots more Ten points would comment tho.
Maby i can find a Video of the Acudraw thing being Used on a titan HLX.
Id like to see how good it really works.

Barnett uses stamped metal for their triggers = broken junk if you're the type that is a little rough with your gear.

TenPoint's accudraw can be mounted on an Excalibur.

I guess it pays to watch that Vid more than once half paying Attention LOL

Well i decided to go a Diffrent Route! :)

I CAN #### my Excaliber with the cocking Rope no troble by doing it the way your Supose to in the Vidieo

So I bought another Crossbow just cause they are supose to be good and i want the one for NV target shooting.
I bought a compound Parker Cyclone with Adjustable rear stock.

I like there patented idea at Reverseing the Limb Cams on the Compound limbs!
simple but effective.
350 FPS killing Machine with a Picininy Rail forward under the stock for my other Night Devices. :)

It was a Great deal to with a kit comes with a scope Quiver bolts and cocking rope for $750 Canadian. I bought it from the Bow shop there fellow James was very good to deal with i would recomend that place to anyone (but ask to talk to James) he shoots the bows to not just a fondler.

There $799 USA at Cabalas in the USA.
