Whats the best deal?

"Match Ammo" and "Cheap" can not be use in the same sentence.
For the price of about 10 boxes of Match Ammo you can set yourself up to start loading good match ammo.

Like Maynard says, there's no such thing as 'cheap match grade' ammo. The term is an oxy-moron. Even if you could find some, there's no guarantee that your rifle will shoot factory match ammo well. Reloading will let you tailor your ammo to your rifle. Mind you, match grade bullets aren't cheap either. The last time I looked, Hornady 168 grain HPBT match bullets ran over $300 per 1,000.

.

Wholesale Sports lists Federal and Winchester .308 168 gr match ammo at $27.99 per 20, plus taxes and shipping. If you have time, buy a box of each and see which one is better in your rifle.
What course insists you buy factory match grade ammo and won't allow handloads? Just curious.

$27.99 plus taxes for a box of 20:eek: For the amount of shooting I do that would work out to $2,268.00 plus shipping. Boy am I glad I reload:D
