What's the best place to buy ammunition online?

So I'm posting this here because I wasn't sure it would fit under the other sections. I'm in the market for some good, quality 40 cal. Hollow point rounds. This is strictly for home defense purposes. I've been trying to shop around online and learn what I can. I thought maybe some of you deal with a specific company that you consider a trusted source. I'm on a bit of a budget, so I'd like to know im getting more bang for my buck so to speak. I'd like to buy bulk ammo just to have it but if theres a good company where I can get a box or two for a decent price that would be just as well. Also, is there a particular brand of hollow point ammo thats better than others? I heard Barnes TAC-XPD is a good one, but I have no experience with it myself. Any pointers would be helpful.
 
Home defense rounds are fine, usually high quality but are very expensive. Most are over $1 each. Maybe not the best on a budget. Maybe buy some pmc rounds from canada ammo or some wolf reloads from sfrc.
Then theres the whole home defense issue...some folks think you look extra quilty by using home defense rounds.
 
Practise with plated bullets(CanadaAmmo usually has them cheap), and defend your home with the HQ hollow points, if you must. Load up a clip full of cartridges loaded with the good stuff, and that's all you'll likely ever need.
Unless you live in the vicinity of Jane and Finch, in Toronto.
 
Time your safe opening and trigger lock removal from your handgun. Film it and store with your lawyer. You will need it.

I always exceed storage requirements, both for ammo and firearms. It costs me nothing. Other option is very expensive out here in the West.

I even triggerlock my NRs during transport so I can go buy a coffee and have a piece of mind.

I know, I am a little obey-or, slave to RCMP.

Its simply cheap insurance against any unsafe storage issue coming out of left field.

I agree its a good idea. :)
 
Whatever you end up buying, buy a bunch of it and practice with the ammo you intend to use. Also, find a good lawyer who knows the ins and outs of the firearm act and have his number on speed dial in case you ever use that expensive ammo.
