Whats the best rail cover?

Jeez....I give up. The cheapest one? I'm not being a smart-A**; I really don't see much difference from one to the other functionally, but certainly a broad price spread.
Curious to see what answers you get...

Rail ladder covers are slimmer. Good for folks with small hands and I prefer them for top/lower rails.
The panel style ones are a bit thicker and on some quad rails, might be a bit too wide for small hands.

For ladder rails, I just buy the cheap ones on eBay. For the panel style ones, I like the rubbery texture of the Magpul and earlier Ergo ones. Not sure if this is the info you're looking for.

snappy. I ask because I have zero experience with rails. I like my rifles width and don't want to increase its thickness with big bulk snap on rail covers. They will either break or fall off or not last long in 3 gun or practice.

I also don't want to have to wear gloves or sacrifice comfort for something that is going to be small and slim like ladder rails.

I ordered panels and ladder rails for my side rails. I left it broad so people can tell me what works for them and why.

Thanks for your help
