Well as the question begs? What the best system for the price KAS,
TROY,GG&G, LaRue? I've seen some pricing on Ebay for the Knights's rail for around $250?

What's the best donut topping at Timmies ??

Top traditional Free-Floater's: DD, Larue, KAC
Un-interupted forend: Samson, Troy, MI
Other top performers: ARMS, PRI

VLTOR also has a new rail.

For me it's really up to whats available and what style I want, cuse you really can't go wrong with any of those (considering a civi application). For Mil applications I would likely stick to DD, KAC, Larue & ARMS (Although PRI is used on military SPR's they are a different bread)

KAC is the most expensive and illusive.
Wolverine has ARMS, PRI, DD & MI, (VLTOR ??)
ArmsEast has Samson
Maybe some online dealers (or CGN'ers) have some too.

I'm currently using the Vltor on my Carbine, and I have no complaints. It's very light weight and sturdy, when it's mounted, it'll raise the top rail by almost 1/2 inch which is great if you need the extra height, for optics or whatever.

Are you looking for a non-FF RAS?

We received the new MRFS-DI "Drop In" units from Samson last week. According to Talon Arms (and only TA) website anyway, the first run was purchased by the US Army? Don't know if that's true, I'll ask. They're very tight, M203 compatible, and priced right at $255.

Haven't sold any yet, free shipping if someone wants to try one and post a review. All Samson products have a satisfaction or money back policy. Great company to work with.

FWIW PRI was replaced on the USSOC SPR/Mk12's -- all the new ones coming out have KAC rails...

Daniel Defense RISII and their "lite rail" are a good option
KAC - always good
Larue - good

Troy and Samson are virtually identical -- deemed not suitable for mil usage (not from a robustness point - but for the M203 FF issues)

I would stay away from ARMS

VLTOR/ABRAMS have a nice rail -- and an even nicer monolithic
