Hi, I bought some Berger bullets, both 52gr and 55gr in the EE. My problem is they are Moly and I'd prefer to continue using copper bullets. Is there an easy way to remove the moly?

I've tried 100 in my tumbler, with nutshells, almost for a full day and altho they are a bit less dark, they are still covered with the moly.

Any idea?

Thanks

Just curious why you want to remove the moly? Is there that many of them, that you just wouldn't shoot them? Are they not as accurate as your non moly loads?

nail polish remover or alcohol, mineral spirits or whatever solvent chemical you have on hand.
slush around in an empty butter container several times, at the end you can take all the bullets and put them in an old sock and smush them around to dry them out.

Just don't want to deal with a barrel coated with moly, damn hard to remove when you want to switch back to copper bullets.

I'll try that one, thanks

Cleaning moly out of a barrel isn't as hard as you think.

Now that is interesting, maybe you're right. I didn't used moly bullets before, but from what I've read, if you use them, be prepared to
scrub the hell out of your barrel to get back to copper bullets.

Thanks for the advices, I tried some alcohol and nail polish remover in a container, tumbling bullets in it, didn't work as expected.

I think I'll shoot them as they are and that's it.

Thanks
