the CZ 527 Mini Mauser or the Howa Mini?

please post explaining why you think one is better than the other.

I haven't tried the Howa...but having had a 527 previously, I really liked how it shouldered and held.

Can't answer, as I've never handled a Howa Mini.

Forget the Howa Mini. The mag release is in front of the detachable mag and is very easy to contact and drop the mag by mistake. I bought one last yr.and dropped the mag out of it the first time I picked it up. Replacement mags are not available for when you DO lose the original mag. Google it. A hinged floorplate would be a far better format.

Never handled a Howa, but I own two 527's for a reason! Love these little guns especially the Carbine model.

I currently still own the CZ 527 but briefly owns and sold a Howa mini action. I echo supercub’s sentiment about the magazine on the Howa. Also, fit and finish on the stock on my Howa was poor. My CZ is in 7.62x39 and she is a keeper. No question (for me) between the two.

I have handled both. I am a fan of the CZ mini mauser, great rifle. Beautiful rifles, great functioning, great accuracy.

I really do not like anything from Howa. I know a couple guys that own them, love them, and find good accuracy, but I really dislike them. They seem really cheap to me, on par with a mossberg, savage, winchester xtr, or remington 710s and other economy rifles.
