I've listed some on ####### and I've got people falling over each other to buy it. I've seen some retail for 50 cents a round. What's the deal? Is it and better than Chinese?

yea not sure why. not as common and Chinese and Czech, Czech seems to give a tad bit better accuracy, visually it's very nice ammo with the red sealant around the bullet and primer paired with green lacquer

I had a guy at my range offer to trade me a much larger case of Chinese ammo for a sealed can of Bulgarian surplus ammo with the “circle 10” mark on the lid. Think next time I see him I’ll take him up on it.

It’s probably going to end up like anything else. There are people who collect surplus 303 British ammo and plan to never shoot it

Never had an issue with chinese surplus. The round itself is accurate, the issues usually arise from the gun/shooter, who then blame the ammunition. I've heard many people say this ammo is "sh!t", but never heard a logical argument as to why exactly thats the case...meanwhile every cz, ruger, howa ive owned has shot it consistently around 1.5 MOA...(10 round group i shot yesterday, 105 yds, ruger american ranch.) None of the more expensive surplus 7.62x39 I've shot has been "better" in terms of accuracy. Czech is definitely better in that it comes in super nice packages on high quality clips. But for actually shooting i go norinco every time because i get more for the money.

Its ####e, sell it off lol

Czech is pretty good for surplus ✔ - and if you blow off alot at a time ... I reload, takes abit but worth it, tad cheaper, I need the accuracy + don't shoot alot at 1 outing. Settled for 25.0grs (pretty well max) RL7/123gr SSTs 18" brl my rifle loves it + eats them, used RL7 as I have a keg ... Factory 123gr Black are awesome but pricy for 20 rds

From what I've read and fired, the Euro-bloc x39s were quite accurate. The "Red Stripe" Romanian was one of the 'better', as well as CZech, and Russian MS. A few years ago Ganderite posted a test he performed with a 'custom barrel' chambered in x39, which showed the accuracy potential in 'better' barrels, at 100-yds with a 24X scope.. I think this was posted on SKS boards, but I don't have the link handy; he described the 'build' as well as the test. I'll post that link if I find it.
EDIT - I STILL can't find that post - maybe Not Ganderite ? Still looking an hour later.
