Whats the difference betweeen these two guns ?

Does anybody know the difference between a winchester 1400 and a winchester 1400 ranger , ive been looking for the inof but was unable to find it, ... Thanks

The "Ranger" was the less expensive model ... hardwood stock.

Exactly, 1400 came with walnut stock and ranger came with hardwood stock.
