For me it was either the ppk or daisy grizzly 840c, but even the ppk felt a little 'serious'. The grizzly was a single stroke pump with a bb loading trigger, easy to pull of a few shots quickly and just felt right in the hand. The only thing that I didn't like about it at the time was it's low speed and hence bb drop, I should have never returned it.

I'm thinking about getting a red ryder, but they are getting harder to find also they aren't cheap any more. I'm not elated about the plastic lever either.

i have a red ryder, got it from walmart for 49.95 2 years ago. the plastic lever is made of hard unbreakable plastic. they are very fun and they hold 350 shots to boot.

took this pic about a year ago by myself in the woods with my red ryder.

They're selling those red ryders for 50 bucks at bass pro. I never seen sop many of them before, they have huge stacks of them all over the store at the Bass Pro in Vaughn Mills. I was surprised even though its a gun store, to see them promoting them as "great gift idea for the kids". I plan on getting one for my 8 yr old brother for christmas so he can practice, but im not a fan of the 350 fps power, a little more umph would be nice.

No doubt the Daisy Red Rider and Crossman 760 I had as a kid.

My ass still stings occasionally in remembrance of the tractor window I shot out.

It would, but the more power means the more work you have to do. And really it doesn't make a difference when shooting cans etc.

I saw those last time I was there, but I was interested in archery stuff. Now that winters 'coming'; I'm looking for something that I can shoot indoors.

The most fun I have had is shooting the FX Revolution. Great gun, only have had the chance to shoot it once but it's great fun. Semi-auto is great:D

It took me 3 years to find the right opportunity to buy the fx revolution. Before owning it my favorite pcps were the airforce condor and career 50 dragon. Rupert and I made a fun video last year plinking blocks of ice with both rifles. The dragon demolished the ice block with ease :) eventually my favorite caliber always stayed as .22 because it works in so many air guns, there's variety, and its affordable.

The fx revolution is an airgunner's dream. I say that if you have the money invest in something that will last for years. Its like buying nice clothes, once you appreciate the good stuff you will always aim high.

The Drozd Blackbird is loads of fun!!!

I've wanted a drozd for the longest time, but I'm not a fan of the eletronic triggering mechanism,... or the looks. It's not as if a semi/full auto blowback is hard to do either, just no one seems to want to do one.

tokyo marui hi capa 4.3 airsoft pistol.
Fires the 6mm plastic airsoft bbs, runs on propane.
Great fun. Costs more than my norcs, but I can shoot it in the basement, just not while I smoke.

I have had quite a few pellet and BB guns as well, and I have to say that the Red Ryder for $40 is a hoot. I also recent purchased the Daisy Model 25...even more fun! You can get either one for $39.99 at Bass Pro.

The fun is ALWAYS about power...sometimes it's the nostalga or "kitchy" quality.

Just ordered this from d&L , with 2 spare mags, and 4 tiins of gamo perfect rounds.
$55 for the gun, $17 for both mags, and $4.50 a tin for the ammo

I want this when it get to the stores very cool

Easy.. Red Rider... You don't even have to aim that little thing.. Just goes where you point.

I got 2 of them for my kids for this X-mas.. We're going to try and "shoot an eye out".

They're a classic. My dad still has his original Roy Rodgers model.

Easily the most "fun" air gun.

Still remember crying my eyes out for one , and after falling down the stairs, Dad was so messed up he went through a rough time getting it for me , an amazing story in itself.
Christmas morning it was under the tree, and like any great dad, we made short work of some of moms decorations on the tree :D
