Hey guys I was wondering if you may help me out. I just bought a scope leupold VX2 3x9x40 the last part of the scope is damaged a bit. It's the last half inch of the scope. where the gold ring is, at the (exit) part of the scope not the end you look into. There is about a 1/2" of plastic where it says....VXII 3X9X40 stamped on very slightly. Can this part be fixed or replaced???? Scope is brand new and it almost looks like it was melted. Optics are fine and you can't even tell the ring is screwed at all when looking through the scope, it just an "looks" thing.

Thanks

There is no plastic on a Leupold scope. The objective lock ring is what it sounds like you are describing and it is aluminum. Send it to us and we can fix it up for you. If it is abuse there may be a charge...Tony
