just wanted some wise opinions, I have a remington 1100 that I am super comfortable with, it has a 30" rib with mod choke and I'm lights out with it on the trap range but found I was getting schooled at our clubs skeet practices because its too long and wrong choke...anyone else have one of these dialed in that they recomend.

If the gun fits you its a matter more of learning to see the flight lines and follow thru with your lead then it is of barrel length. Skeet is very different from trap. Learning to shoot it with tighter chokes will make you more focused and a better shot. Good luck which ever way you choose

The perfect length is whatever you like best. If you are comfortable with the 30" length then stick with it and ignore the club "experts" who say it's too long. They do however have a point on the choke. Modified is more then necessary for skeet range targets. Having choke tubes installed in the gun would make it more versatile. I use either skeet or cylinder choke for skeet.

thanks guys, I am comfortable with my 30" but.....I found at skeet practice that the faster shorter range style of game might be easier with something shorter that swings faster, thanks for all your opinions, I m gonna try to find a 26" skeet choke.

ps anyone have one they wanna get rid of LOL

An ad in the EE Exchange "Parts & Bits" forum will likely get you one.

Epps in ON has a 25in (cut) bbl on sale.....

Gagnon Sports (Oshawa, ON) actually has one in Skeet config but with 28in bbls.....note the broken link as they are not a supporting dealer.
