Do they shoot better?
Sometimes the interweb can be confusing about things, and I don't have the time to decipher it all.
But I do have a 'new to me' Finn'd Peter the Great with a 'D' stamp:dancingbanana:

They don't shoot any better. It is a stamp to state that the chamber will accept the finn D type ammunition. Based on the fact that some rifles come with multiple D stamps or on some that were clearly not manufactured for the D type ammo, I believe (not that I'm an authority or anything ;) ) it was a stamp applied at the arsenal whenever a rifle came through it and the chamber check was made.
