I've got pics of 2 really nice whitetails, on trail cameras, that I have the option as to which deer to go after come November. They are a long way apart; I gotta decide one or t'other.

Buck #1 has 3 points on each main beam. Not as symmetrical as buck #2, not as heavy. I think it is a gross 160"+ score.

Buck #2 has more mass, with 4 points on each main beam, plus 5-6" brow tines. I estimate mid-170" gross score (almost no deductions).

So a couple questions:

#1. What do you think each of these bucks would gross score?
#2. If you had to chose which one of these deer to go after, which buck would you hunt?
#2. Are these deer maybe a year away still... ?

Buck number one is a beaut! I like the crab claws and the split brow tine. A little light in the mass, but a beauty none the less.
Buck number two is fantastic as well with the added mass but hard to get a true idea on width.

Both are shooters for sure where I come from. Both would benefit greatly from another year for sure. If they are the best you are getting pics of, I would go for the second one as I really like the thickness he is displaying. BUT, I would gladly shoot either one! Good luck.

I'm still a rookie at trying to score bucks from pictures, but I would go with buck #2. His rack has more character IMHO. Those G2's are like swords! Good luck in getting either of these fine bucks!

Either one would go on the wall at my place....

if I had to choose #2 looks like the more mature buck body size and rack mass...

Hunt them both you may not get a shot at either of them.
Good luck
