What's this K31 worth

I ended up buying this for a good price. I can't say I'm a fan of the diopter sights so I'll probly end up buying a scope mount for it. Thanks everyone for the info in this thread.

Try them out before making a judgement. You can easily switch from the diopters to a scope mount.

If you bought it from a Swiss shooter, expect it to have been sighted in for 300m.

My brother bought a K31 for $300 a year ago since then they have dried up. Great rifle and very accurate. I would say $400 for the rifle and at lease $400 for the sights. Nice rifle.

Thanks for the link, I'm off next week so I plan on trying them out. I also grabbed some Lyman diopter inserts so I'm going to play around to see what sight picture I like.

It was released from inventory (sold to the soldier) in 1953

FWIW concerning price, if the bore is in great shape (7.51-7.53mm), a rifle in that condition is now going to cost at about $800, and the sights $400. Currently the Americans and Germans are paying top dollar on surplus guns and the cheap ones are no longer available.

Wow prices are going through the roof.
You sold me an excellent condition K31 complete with the W+F diopters for $550 just over two years ago.
Glad I got in before the supply started to dry up.
They are great rifles.

I've tried the clamp on scope mount and the bipod adapter. I find it handles and shoots the best with the diopters off sand bags, plain and simple.
