whats this repair

What do you make of this repair ,it is on my PH custom #1

It looks like a piece of the action has been silver soldered in .You can see the outline just above the screw in the center.

Repair? Are you referring to the area where the remains of the charger bridge was blended into the receiver?

I guess if I would have looked at my other #1 with the bridge removed I could have answered my own question thanks anyhow though.

It does look like a patch, doesn't it? The left side of the charger bridge is rivetted into a notch on the receiver. If you want a streamlined sporter, blending it is about the only way to go. Remove the bridge completely, and there is a very noticable notch.
