Whats up? Calgary, SKS mag?

I'm a first timer and looking for a mag for a SKS which was recently given to me.
I was told that its a model "d", and will take an AK mag. Looking for some feed back, and a mag.

You got the D model. "D" is for Detachable Magazine. It does indeed take AK47 mags (not AK74, so be careful what you buy). You can find these magazines at most gun stores in Canada and even in the EE section here. You'll have to sing up for that.

PS. Stay away from member 303Carabine on here. He's anti SKS and will make your life miserable with his comments if given a chance.

you should place an ad on EE "want to buy" but you need to join that forum first .

i got some 5rd but no 30rd mag , i saw some for sale on EE for $40 .

ps. 303carbine is a pussytat , harmless.

As long as the mag is pinned to 5 rounds, you're fine. A regular AK mag is illegal all by itself.
