whats up with my colts trigger?

Lately my series 70 colt seems to have developed a small glitch, When the trigger is pulled and the hammer falls (say dry firing with a snap cap) after the hammer falls, if you pull al little further the trigger seems to break again and a audible click is heard from the grip safety area.


I do not have much experience with 1911 pistols and was wondering if there is a serious problem developing with my colt?

I believe it's called trigger set, very normal.

I doupt there is anything wrong with your gun.
The only thing that can interfere with the trigger is the grip safety bow wich lock the back of the trigger when the gun is not holded properly. This bow ride very close to the rear of the trigger and might, and I say might, touch the rear of the trigger bow just a hair.

You can also have to crud there. Just make sure the gun is fully disasembled and cleaned, including trigger removal.
