These Brownings had the nicest walnut I have ever seen, and the old Savage was impressive as well, wouldn't have clue on value?? Anyone else have idea ?? The Savage was in the $2500 range

Go give brownings web page a try. There is a custom shop section showing new and used superposed. The other place would be brass pro's fine gun room. It has been a while since I have been on brownings web page but I believe the plain jane baisc superposed b25's currently start in the 20k U.S. range and move on up to the neighbourhood 100k from there.

That sure is some georgous wood on that table though!!!

I handled both guns in the bottom pic today, my value on them is "not much" as the gent was showing how he reblued/stained them with his product.

Like the old saying goes "If you have to ask you can't afford it.";)

Please don't tell me he refinished that special order Savage! There was an origonal one at the CowTown show last year. An 1899B with the same engraving as the one pictured there and IIRC it was about the $2500 mark.

Their 'custom shop' does them now. The Bass Pro Shop 'Fine Gun Rooms' are listing Skeet and Trap Superposed starting at a little over 2 grand US. Although one of 'em lists a Belgian made 12 ga at only $1799US. Then they go up. Way up. Seven grand US and up. It appears that the stock, guage, where it was made and other features determines the value. Just like any other firearm.
Know a guy who owns a BAR LMG that was made in the 20's for the civilian market. It's got the nicest burly walnut stock and the old S&W bluing, even on the mags. Prettiest MG I've ever seen.
