I just checked the Marstar site ... $190 for 4 mags with a superduper leather mag pouch that they sell separately for about $15. $150 if ordered with the gun. Too bad they don't just have a "bulk" price for 4 or 6 mags or so without the mag pouch. I've used the pouch a couple times before I had a good setup but now it just sits at home in the closet.

I think I paid about $200 for the extra mags, bipod and folder when I bought the rifle from them when they first came in.

With all the VZ58s and CZ858s in the country now I don't see why they should be any more money than AK mags for the SKS-D.

I agree, the prices of the mags are outrageous these days. Too bad there isn't some company willing to step up and make some aftermarket ones. I managed to luck out with my mags though. $115 for 4 mags and that leather pouch in the ee a while back.
 
I don't think there is a big enough market, at least not in Canada to justify making "after market" mags. And with so few importers of the mags they can charge more for them. If another company started bringing them in and under selling the price I am sure Marstar and others prices would also drop. Supply and demand, if you all stop buying them they will drop in price too! Then I can buy more, lol. :)

mags

i got 4 mags with the leather pouch,bayo and cleaning kit/tools with the cz858 that i bought from armco.
compared to the ak-47 romanian made mags i have,seems they wanted to save money making these...
