Hey all,

Was at a local store in Calgary that had some SKS rifles in these nice walnut stocks. They shouldered and felt really great, but I have no idea where those stocks come from or what the deal is with them.

Can someone fill me in on these? I noticed wanstalls and the firearms outlet have them listed as well as a couple other places.

Who sells these stocks and where do them come from?

Thanks!

Fair. But I'm not gonna buy from them and I'd rather not waste their time that can spent from buying customers when I'm sure someone here knows. (Nothing against wanstalls - awesome company, but the are available local for no wait)

I'm sure they're not the SKS "D" models but are just the Russian SKS's in a Timbersmith walnut stock w/Tapco magazine.

Okay, I see one at Wanstalls, big jump in price... Timbersmith ones I saw at my local CT were $349 and either had the regular mag or a Tapco like this:

They are refurbed Russian Sks in a deluxe walnut stock. The stock also has checkering and a thin rubber butt pad. I think they came in with the latest lot of Sks from Molot (Russian factory/exporter)I believe. I have never seen the stock for sale seperately.

Yea I was wondering about the price on wanstalls too, they are listed elsewhere for 345 or something and C-Tire near me sells the stock for 200. Wondering what the consensus is on them - are the worth it?

They are decent and maybe worth $350. I wouldn't pay higher than the $350-$375 range personally.
Also Duncan , did you say they are selling the stock set itself for $200? Thxs
