In your opinion, what's worth more:

Norwegian capture K98 non-matching rechambered to 30-06

OR

Russian capture K98 unpeened mix master.

Also, are the Russian captures worth more refinished or left as-is?

Norweigian seem to sell for more but RC are better in my opinion.

The norweigian ones have crossed out serials, ground flat on receiver, cut in receiver, stock and triggergaurd for longer 3006 cartridge. Not to mention a non german barrel.

Just my opinion. If the NC was mostly matched, different story.

I like the RC Better, its in its original cal, and just how "CanadianAR" Said Theres not that many mods done on a rc compare to the NC.

RC worth

400-500 On average.

NC

500-800$ Thats how they go on the EE.

The Mauser that is worth the "Mostest" (note spelling!) is an Undicked With Mauser.
Neither of your 2 choices.

Norwegian is by far the rarer and more expensive of the two. Too bad it's mis-matched. That hurts its value IMHO. The last batch sold by P&S were matching.

I'll chime in, since you asked, on the last part of your post - are RCs left in "RC" state worth more or less than rifles stripped of shellac etc.? Very much a personal preference if you're buying, IMO. You can't truly un-RC an RC. Thats what it will always be.

I'd pay more for a good shooter than I would for one upon which time and effort had been invested trying to make it look more like what it was when still in Wehrmacht hands. But that's just me.

If you're looking to sell one, you'll attract some buyers and repel others if you remove the RC "features". Whether they'll pay a premium...
