What's your .270 bullet??

Just got my first Deer rifle!!! Tikka T3 Stainless win. Just wondering what everybody else out there feeds there .270's

Just starting out....any help is appreciated!
 
150gr Hornady Interlock SP
150gr Nosler Partition

had sucess with both.

Should add that the .270 Seirra GameKing 150gr was explosive out to 270ish yards. would avoid this bullet.

Federal Premium 150 grain boat tail soft points. They usually blow through one side of the ribs and more or less explode inside (fragment)! The inside of the other rib looks like it has been hit with a shot gun. There are five deer hunters in the family and we all shot the exact same bullet(270 win). My dad managed to drop a small bull elk at 373 yards with this same bullet. One shot!

Well here we go, nobody suggesting that he try a variety of loads to find out what HIS rifle likes.
Since you indicate it's a deer rifle any load of 130grs. or greater will drop deer as good as any other "deer rifle"
I've personally seen deer cleanly dispached with all manor of 270 caliber bullet, that's available, so use what shoots best in YOUR rifle
 
140 grain Nosler Accubonds for my 270 win. Bang Flop! on two deer with them, and I am gonna start loading some 110 gr Hornady's for dirt-piggin.

Grow the #### up. he asked for suggestions and people gave them. all mannor of .270 bullet you say? oh, well then, you heard Leftist ####! go out and buy some 110gr Vmax and go deer hunting!

I've been impressed with 130 Barnes TSXs so far. But just about any premium bullet over 130 grains will work great, like already suggested, try a few different bullets out. Luckily for you Tikka's aren't fussy!

For those who could'nt interpert my original message. ie: Amphibous.
By all manor I was refereing to the criteria as stated in the second sentance of my first post.
 
I had good luck with 130gr Barnes X and RL22. With a 24" barrel you should be able to get well above 3100fps, which is enough to get the job done on just about all NA big game.
 
My first choise for a .270 deer bullet would be a 140gr Accubond.

Very accurate, not much more $$ than regular bullets, and you know that there will never be any issues with bullet performance, regardless of hitting bone or not.:)

I drove this bullet end to end through a big muley this last season. Bullet held together with not much in the way of secondary wound channels, which surprised me considering in started off breaking his hip first.
 
Fedral Premium with 130gr XLC coated-x Bullet. 1 shot dropped a moose at about 200yrds. 3 steps then whomp on the ground. Only draw back is I paid $50..00 for 20 rounds. Well worth it though.
FYI I've used the old Winchester and Remington 150 and 130 grain softoints for $14.00 at CDN Tire to shoot deer with no problems.
