I am in the market to buy a good bot not to expensive bore scope for my handgun and riffle... I want to clearly see if i got leadiing or cupper biuld in my lands.

So, what you guy's ( and girls) using that's work great? Or not!!! it's a good point to know what NOT to buy too :)

Thanks

I find that it works great for inspecting carbon, carbon rings, fire cracking, copper @ the lands, but for full bore inspections on my precision barrels, it doesn't compare to my gunsmiths Hawkeye. Not even close, don't get me wrong its a great tool to have, but when it come to borescopes your going to get what you pay for, with that for a few hundred bucks in my opinion you cant go wrong with a Lyman.

Don't get the ones from Amazon. They're not clear enough. I bought a 5mm one and this is the quality I get. I got a 8mm one that HD but too big for my 30 CAL. I just use that one for my reloading press.

i ever used any bore sope before... but if my understanding is good, its important to have one with a angle view...
any of the cheap one i saw have an angle, the are strait foward... happy to see the image is not worth it before i try it !! thanks to share!!

I dindt know about Hawkeye..... if its realy much better than, i guess, the price is higher too! haha Well, now i have to google it :p

the lyman borescope is a very useful device for a firearms enthusiast. the viewscreen could be a bit larger and the picture could have higher resolution and the screen could be a bit bigger but for the money it is a good deal. I got a 20% haircut on mine, maybe wait for black Friday and keep watching the Cabela sales promos.

I like my lyman I can see fine detail and the colours are good, lead looks like lead copper looks like copper and carbon looks like carbon. Great for telling the clean condition of your rifle

thanks for you comments too

this is exactly why i am on the market: lead deposit!! i am a "new" caster, i cast for 4 y now and realy want to see where i am in my cast level!

I would never change my hawkeye fo something else.

And i am pretty sure that if i try it, i will want it!!
But its more than trice the price of the lyman...

for what i wanna use it , i think lyman will do a nice job, thanks shooter1971 for the picture, that seem's to be pretty clear!! much more thant endosnake or other haha!

hey guy's!
i had receive my lyman borecam and i am realy surprise how great it is!!!

It's a bit hard to always stay in focys but, wiw, how clear it is when u are a the right place!!
I'll do a favor to myself and i'll take time to make sleev for it
one sleeve for each caliber taht will ride in the bore to keep in focus all the time.

ANY ONE HAD EVER TRY THIS?
