What's your experience with Stoeger Canada Ltd?

I have ordered and received vertical grip and beavertail forearm for my Tikka T1x. Only after installing these, I found that the forearm is cracked. I hope that getting a replacement is not going to be a hassle. I've read some posts where people had problems with installing the grip. They had to grind down an inside tab to fit it. Mine installed without any issues. Perfect fit... except for the Crack in the forearm

the firearms distributed by Stoeger are generally of very good quality but my solitary experience with customer service was definitely poor. a defect in a barrel that could only be created by machine tooling at the factory was denied claim. this was over 10 years ago and the person responsible for denying the claim may have moved on. the product line is excellent but that doesn't mean every firearm or product will be flawless. the most important interface between factory and consumer is customer service and that person can make or break a company if the product line is of questionable quality. it's harder to break a company that manufactures quality products even if the rep at customer service is of indeterminate origin. good luck with your claim.

Stoeger is great to deal with.

The only issue I have with, is, they are located in Oshawa, so close by, but they don't allow you to go and pick up.
They ship by UPS by default, which is another issue, but they can ship by CP on demand.

Mixed feelings... At first, they flatly refused any responsibility claiming that:
"it looks like the forearm was damaged/cracked when you installed in on your rifle. And as per the return policy, it cannot not be returned for a refund or exchange if they have been used."
Only after I presented them with two options, they picked the easy one and decided that "only this time " they will exchange it. After that, everything went smoothly and they sent a replacement right away.
