Hey guys.

Do you guys mind posting your accurate or good plinker ammo for my 45ACP.
I have a bunch of Frontier TMJ 230gr and Lee tumble lube 230gr RN lead.

Looking for OAL of both and crimp ( taper crimp values ) as well as grains of charge / what type of powder you are throwing.

Other then the lyman lee and online sources, I want to know what all you CGN-ers are running with.

Thanks!

6 grains Universal Clays works very well for me. I tried Bluedot, that was a disaster. Takes 10 gr, so almost double powder required, and shooting in the snow, there was a big trail of unburnt powder in front of my shooting position. Not sure on the exact length, I'm thinking 1.200", but don't feel like going downstairs to check. These were used with plated cheapo bullets from wholesale, the company that made them doesn't exist anymore.

4.5 grains of Bullseye with a 230 grain RN or FP is scary accurate out of my Colt. OAL as per your manual. 1.275".
"...taper crimp values..." It's not measured. Put enough taper crimp on to hold the bullet in place and no more.
