What's your favourite ammo for your 10/22?

What type of ammo do you feed your 10/22?

As long as you have aplastic buffer, the beating it takes from hyper-vels shouldn't be too bad.

Have you tried the subsonics? I got mine so it would cycle anything but the CB long.

I've only ever played around with bulk pack style ammo and a bit of federal std. velocity target ammo.

My favorite is without a doubt Dynapoints in terms of bang for the buck. Federal std. velocity are nice too (and somewhat more accurate) albeit somewhat more expensive.

Yeah, the tune up kit came with a buffer.

my gun now cycles the 22 subsonic (remington) flawlessly. I haven't tried any other subsonic ammo

For accuracy,
Try Lapua Super club. There's no going back.

Hey Prosper, my .204 XR-100 arrived the other day. I was thinking of getting a Leo 6.5 to 20x VXIII for it. Anypoint going for the 8.5-25X?

I almost exclusively buy Federal Bulk Pack ammo. It's cheap, has good accurasy, functions fine and don't have the misfire rate they used to have. Every now and then though I'll buy some stingesr, just for the extra bang or some solid Rem ammo for when i don't want the quick defragmintation ofthe feds. Plus I get a few sub sonics from time to time when noise will be a factor.

If money was no object I would use velocitor exclusively.

But since I am just another poor soldier. I use american eagle.

Its the quantity vs quality approach.

I dont find a huge difference in accuracy of the ammo at the ranges I shoot it at anyway. And I have 30 rd mags to make up the difference. And a bore snake for the 500 rd cleaning breaks.
