What's your favourite product?

My favorite treestand is a Summit climber. After borrowing my brothers Lonewolf for two years I broke down, and bought my own.I like it because is well made, user friendly, and rated for 350lbs.

My favorite knife is hand made by a friend. It keeps an edge like no other knife I have ever had.

My favorite by far is Sierra Designs long underwear.Warmest light fabric I have ever encountered.

I bought a camo tent/blind last year which I've been very happy with.
Took 2 turkey , 1 doe by crossbow ( at 15 steps distance) and 4 'yotes . I still have to play the wind but nevertheless , it's been a great experience...gettin' too old to climb trees.
Lightweight , but it was quite the challenge at first to figure out how to get it back in the bag...no probs now.

Canadian Tire has those camo chairs for under $20 ( has the back but no arms). I just replaced one after 5-4yrs of use. Lightwieght and it's not hard too nod-off in.

I've been using a no-name , fleamarket bought , folding knife for the last 10yrs. Everything from fish to deer ...skinning , fileting , butchering and also some whittlin' when things are slow.

My big ass stainless steel thermos. It has provided me with a warm cup off coffee for 20 plus years and it just seems that any hunting trip is never complete if we don't sit and relax with a a hot cup of java at the end of the day.

I would have to say that after a long day of trekking through the snow, seeing/shooting my game, finding it, dragging it back to the truck after gutting it, then hanging it up in my garage and skinning it out .... all i really want is to sit on my couch with a cold bottle of Moosehead beer.

Favorite hunting product

I've grown fond of the Safari Sling. It just seems to take all the weight of the rifle more comfortably, the transition from carrying to shouldering the rifle is very quick, and it works well on horseback.

I'd have say the Buck knife Vanguard I used to have. Chipped it a couple years ago. Others:
- sleeping bag (rated to -30C but not warm enough in mid-winter)
- snowknife for making iglu
- GPS (want one with map display)

I got the impression this post was about things we don't strictly need. Things like the safari sling. I don't count things like guns and ammo or even the truck. The post made me think a little. Gotta have my compass but that falls into the same catagory as guns and ammo. I always have one on me anyway--habit I got into in the military--same with a good pocket knife.
I really like my new small digital camera and probably should carry it more but I'm always forgetting it.
The one thing I find myself never leaving home without is my handheld GPS. I have even gotten into the habit of always carring a couple of extra AA batteries for it. I don't really need it all that much I just find that thing handier than a button on shirt.

A now discontinued Normark Skinning axe. I've had two disappear over the years, and want another. Definately a favorite product fur mee

My Danner boots. Their oversized to allow me extra socks. I've had them since 2001 and they still look almost new. The soles are still sharp and are super comfy. I've put alot of miles on those.

Next up is my compass. I hardly use it, but I feel awesome knowing it's there.

The Redhead socks from Bass Pro with the lifetime warranty. Best socks ever! And at twelve bucks or whatever, dirt cheap.

PS) Did I mention that they have a lifetime warranty? :dancingbanana:
