Why and for what application?

What reticle do you want to try out that you haven't?

Feel free to list different reticles for different applications.

Pride and Fowler reticles are my favorite. They where one of the first to make reticles that have hash marks and distances to compensate for bullet drop without having to dial the distance. They still make decent scopes for hunting/competition/LE

A reticule has to match the scope. Having for example, a P4F on a MOA turret scope would just be dumb, and hense make the reticule a waste. BDC reticles don't tickle my fancy. It's a good idea but limits your scope what you can do with it. To a point that could potentially make your scope useless to you.

Any scope that has a correct matching turret and hash mark combo is a winner in my book.

for hunting a german #4. I don't usually take shots over 250 so fancy reticles are not required. the #4 is east to see.

I choosed G2DMR because I want to learn to shoot in tactical match like PRS in the States. If something similar ever arrive in my province. The recticle is excellent for holding for wind or moving targets. It is also not cluter like other recticle like the Horus. That is what I've been advised by a mod here that shoot tac matches and within my price range. Bushnell ERS 3.5-21 x 50mm FDE.

I'm used to the moar reticles. I find it intuitive when doing hold overs with them. 2moa lines works well for me. In my NF, Sightron, Leupold, and Bushnell Elite scopes.

Gen II XR. It is fine enough for precision work at long range yet still usable at short range. This works for me although I have heard some complain about it thinning out too much at low power.

My favorite reticle is the Boone and Crockett for general purpose hunting rifles. For long range rifles I like the leupold TMR. To make the half Mil hash-marks into 2 MOA turn the magnification down a bit. That only works on SFP scopes but most of them are.

My favourite reticle is Sightron SIII LRIRMOA. I love the floating dot in the centre instead of tiny crosshair. It gives me confident to hit within the floating dot over 500 yards.

I like a good old fashioned mildot... As long as the turrets are mil. I do however love the reticle on a SS 16x scope I have though. It's a mildot, cept the dots are little diamonds that are hollow with a dot in the center. Hash marks between each mildot/diamond. Sorry I'm not sure what that reticle is called specifically but I love it.

The old school post reticle of course, makes holdovers a challenge and thus more fun;) For something that's actually useful I like the P4F.
