what's your knife?

Depends on what I'm doing.

I always carry a Gerber Suspension multitool with me when I'm working or in the bush. At work I have a couple of different options. A Kershaw dive knife is on my High angle rescue rig, or a cheap "rescue" knive with a 4" serrated folding blade, seatbelt cutter, O2 tank opener and hardened tip for breaking tempered glass.

When I go backpacking, the multi-tool comes along, but the main knife that I just bought for that is a buck 119. It's a little longer than I was looking for, but I think it will do well. Can't wait to have a weekend off to try it out!

I like Traditional Nordic knives in Scandi grind. Especially ones that I made out of blanks, that way I don't have to feel bad abusing them. Here's one I made recently.

I usually carry a folder too something like a RAT-1 or a Tenacious

I carry a rapala, a buck, and a couple folders. Nothing fancy, but I've always wanted one of those D.H. Russell Original knives...

My everyday knife I carry is a Gerber Freeman folder. It rides on my belt, and it's with me 24/7. I also carry a small Gerber folder as a utility knife for doing rough work. It lives in my pocket. Both of these knives never stay home unless I'm attending a formal event where a belt or dress pants doesn't really permit. When that's the case, I have a very thin Winchester folder to go in my pocket. (It was even there on my Wedding day)
If all else fails, I have a Victorinox Swiss Army style knife on my keys. Sometimes it's handy to have. Besides the Freeman, if I'm going fishing, I wear a Russel filet knife on my belt. If I'm hunting in crappy weather or rough country, my Buck folder in a leather sheath is on my belt. If it's cold outside, I have a Gerber Gator in a ballistc nylon sheath on my belt. If I'm camping, or just going for a hike in the mountans, I have one of those big Buck knives on my belt, usually with a Gerber Gator folding saw.

Buck 119 when hunting.
Leatherman Wave when hunting or other outdoor stuff.
Victorinox swiss army knife I carry pretty much all the time.
