Hi all, not too familiar with this side of CGN but figured that since I'm coming back into shooting, and now have the time and money to do it, I'd like to start to compete. I am looking for any events east of Montreal, n.b., and the like which would include a revolver shoot. Any suggestions?

No, you'll need a couple of SA's, a shotgun w/o ejectors and a pistol caliber rifle, capable of holding 10 rounds.
Great fun and wonderfull bunch of cowboys, cowgirls and buckaroos.
Have a look at www.ovmcowboys.ca for pictures and links to the Single Action Shooting Society for rules etc.
The Ottawa Valley Marauders home range is at the Eastern Ontario Shooting Club ( www.eosc.ca )and we draw members from Montreal and the area. (You might even be able to carpool)
We also welcome new members without all the stuff they need, and can loan some gear to get you through a stage or two to see if it's something you want to do. Just try to dress a little cowboy, if you can.

For 2013, we are hoping to have an IPSC Revolver Championship (Provincial) this year was a wash as things were just so busy. Southern New Brunswick has two clubs that are hopefully going to be running PPC matches, if that is any interest to you.

Canadian IPSC revolver championship? i'd be in for that as long as its not the same weekend ad the USPSA Revo championships

A Canadian championship would be cool. What we find here in NB is that at our Provincials we never seem to get enough shooters to recognize the division. There are however several shooters that do shot revolver, but it is second fiddle to another division of choice. So what we are looking at is having a dedicated revolver match, everyone is welcome regardless of equipment, but revolver shooters will be rewarded for their efforts. Hopefully we will do it early in the season as it's going to be a very busy year for NB. On another note, I plan on shooting PPC this year to work on accuracy, It's an interesting game in itself. Maybe someday ICORE will make it to Canada ;-)
