When and What was the First Gun you Shot

Lee Enfield No. 7, the one with the .22 insert. 1984, or 1985-ish.

Early 60s, a .22 Cooey model 60.
I bought it for $5, from a mechanic who worked for my Dad. He made me promise that Dad would never know where the gun came from.

Cooey, cooeyyyy, where's my Corey at ?? Pop would call off the back porch. We knew we best come fast ( run like ##LL ) so the next time we want to go shooting he wouldn't he ha to much with us kids . It must have been a single shot because I remember holding the bullets in my lips LOL!!

In the 70s Dad let me shoot a .22 CIL Model 310, but not before setting up a huge potato and shooting it 20 feet away with a .22 CIL HP! No hearing protection, no eye protection, scared the living sheeeeet out of me, the noise and seeing that potato explode. Told me to always understand what a firearm could do and that shooting a paper target wouldn't get it across properly.

Refinished the stock, taught my kids how to shoot with it as well, but didn't have a potato, however a Stinger and apple got the point across. :)

Colt Woodsman, and a Ruger Single Six. Same day. I was seven or eight. Great times. I've since bought my own of each model. Hope I don't lose the right to own and shoot them in my retirement and hand them down to my daughter.

I think it was a Stevens Favorite in 25R, that was the "big" gun.
Other was a small 22 long single shot rabbit gun.
About 1949 or 50.
First pistol was uncles' 22 browning nomad, at can on fence post, sometime in the 50's
First gun I owned was a 870 12 ga.
2nd was a new Win9422 for about 90.oo
1st hg, HR 22 rev, forget the model, good gun, slow reload.
