When did Remington stop offering the CDL in .308 ?

My Dad wants a Remington 700 walnut & blued in .308, he's very specific. Hoping to save for one and surprise him with it.

Unexpected to find out they no longer offer the CDL in .308 !

When did this happen ? Are there still nib . .308's floating around ? (not interested in used).

Could try a model 7 as they are a nice rifle in short action calibers

If you can wait 6 weeks and don't mind paying in USD....Model 7 CDL. Close as you will get probably.

Really .... that far back ? That's surprising. Was hoping it was last season or something so might find em NIB somewhere but I guess that idea is out.

Could buy a 243 or 7-08 and rebarrel it if hes dead set on a cdl in 308 or find a BDL in 308
