When is Savage going to build a 1911?

Mostly they built replacement slides during wwi. I don't believe they actually manufactured frames...

They make very nice rifles, budget and very accurate rifles, so? Do you want them to build Space Shuttles too?

They should renake the savage 1907 hand gun, it was the last of the two in the trials that the 1911 won out

The original poster is not too far off base!!

However, Savage has no interest in setting up to manufacture 1911's.................BUT, I heard a "rumour" a few weeks ago, from a very good source, that Savage are considering purchasing Kimber!!

In case no one here knows this, Savage produces barrels for Kimber...........and Sig!

How's that for a couple of good rumours to end 2011?!
