im not surprise . my sks tends to eject straight up once every couple dozen rounds.

hard hat please.:D

I remember shooting my SKS under the covered shooting positions for the first time and hearing "Bang"..tink.........."Bang"..tink. I thought that was pretty cool that the brass was hitting the steel roof. I love the way the SKS ejects the brass with so much force!

This stuck brass reminds me of basic training in the 90's. We were firing C7's in close quarters. One guy's hot brass flew over an burned right on to the next guy's eyelid! Here's the poor guy yelling and blinking away with this hot 5.56 brass sitting base-first on his eyelid, burned in place. He's got tears flowing all over the place and he's in pain, every time he blinks the brass bounces up and down and pulls on his eyelid something fierce, but he can't help blinking as he hurting. He's not sure what to do as all the firing is still going on and he's also a new private and doesn't want to get in ####. Way too funny for everyone else, but not him!

He's not sure what to do as all the firing is still going on and he's also a new private and doesn't want to get in s**t.

Hmmm! What would Jesus do in that situation? He'd probably turn a whole bunch of water into wine and then, when he had a minute... HE WOULD PULL THE DAMN THING OFF HIS EYE LID.

Ya, my SKS almost always ejects straight up. If im shooting from a rest what often happens is the ejected case goes up, hits the roof, comes back down and hits my bolt carrier then bounces off. I fire and the cycle is repeated.

Best hot brass I have ever seen was a .22 rimfire down the cleavage of a very healthy lady. If I had not of been looking that direction I wouldn't have seen the tube top pulled up and the hot brass shaken loose. One of the most appreciated and memorable three seconds of all the time I have spent shooting.
