When scope prices are to good to be true

Vortex was a Chinese tactic to take over the scope industry in America - they offered retailers huge margins and no responsibility since they just go replaced with another one - that why they pushed these over other scopes - over a few years the quality of these scopes gotten worse - I have never owned a Vortex nor do I want one - but people/consumers should take a look at the big picture

As noted already Vortex is not a Chinese tactic to take over the scope industry in America as it is an American optics company that started in the binocular business and expanded into rifle scopes. . Their warranty service is excellent but not all scopes are replaced with another one if it fails...they repair many units. I feel their quality has improved over the last several years. And no, the margins on Vortex are similar to other competitors. Their biggest advancement is in marketing as when they started they hit the ground running and embraced social media in a bigger way than most other competitors. Phil.

Boy, the things running thru me tete.
If it says "Leupold" and not some knawck awff trying to resemble the real deal,
it's covered by Leupold.
Lifetime warranty is a term they respectfully honor.

Now there are t'uther chit out there like Bushnell that change model #'s that seem
to fall between the cracks as far as their warranty back'im up is concerned.
They encourage the owner to send it in and then get denied repair coverage as it's
a model that is deemed to be out of warranty.

Then a new scope is with a discount is offered offered, if not, you're stuck with the freight to and fro.

I have a decent 1.5x4.5 Bushnell sitting here with an objective lense issue that I'm not
sure Bushnell with cover under warranty.
Had it been a Leupold, it would of been repaired already and the cost would of been the
shipping to their warranty center.

Thanks Leupold for the outfit that you are and thanks again to Korth for being a site sponsor
to reply to our demands.

Sure don't see Bushinill awn'ear.

Fill yer bewts folks, Leupold has garnered my respect.

i never need a service for any bushnell elite or 4200 so far ...

Leupold + Korth + service if you need it.

Best hunting glass scopes out there for bang for the buck.

Bushnell 3500 + 4200 right up there ...

Dude, you buy vortex because at the price point you are getting superior glass to others in the same price point
Come on, man. I was taking a sip. How am I going to clean this laptop screen?

In my experience, Vortex makes cheap junk. Oh, they have the best warranty in the industry, even covering accidental damage. You pay for that up front, believe me. Either in dollars or lost quality. Based on what I've seen from their build quality and my own assessment of their optical quality, you've got a better than even chance of using that wonderful warranty.

It’s called open sight policy

They are still junk when they fail 80 miles out in the bush somewhere, or at 7000 feet on a mountain hunting sheep.

Now, how good is that full, on-the-spot, replacement warranty?

Ted

remember the rings that failed on my 375 ruger ... the warne ones: it was way from home but open sights saved it ...
