When I use straight Lee liquid Alox I never cleaned bottom of cast projectiles, it hardened.

But with 45-45-10, would it harden enough with the wax so as not to effect the powder?
Do I need to wipe the bottom of the projectiles free of 45-45-10?

I have only ever used straight Lee Alox, but have sometimes added blue lube to rifle bullets that I plan to shoot at a higher velocity. I doubt the bit of lube would affect the powder.

45-45-10 will harden better than strait alox and harden faster. Add a touch of carnauba wax to the batch and it forms a very hard shell. I coat with very light coatings and it dries in about 5-10min. 3 light coats and you are good to go. I usually wipe the base and nose with a rag with mineral spirits. Whether its needed or not I'm not sure just habit I suppose.
Powder coating works amazingly well however. So well in fact I dont use the tumble lube often anymore

I find tumble lube with 45-45-10 the quickest and it works. I use one light coat on my 38 SPL Bullets and two slightly heavier coats on my 357 Mag no GC and 308 Bullets. The 308’s are gas checked and driven up to 2200 FPS with perfectly clean bore after 40 rounds.

I lube two 20lb lee pots worth of bullets in 5 min. Powder coating looks nicer but I just don’t want to spend the time.

Eduardo, Sorry for not answering sooner. I bought princess auto PC and a new toaster oven at Costco (which I traded to my wife) . Get a ice cream containers, and some 1/4" hardware cloth at home hardware.
The only thing I would change from your suggestion is to get the powder from Emerald Coatings instead of Princess Auto. The PC powders ARE a little cheaper but Emerald has a much better selection and some powders do not coat as well as others. Emerald Tool Blue is probably the best of the batch. You have to be doing something really wrong to not get at least 95% coverage with Tool Blue whereas some of the others are much more finicky to work with.
