When will we see bulk 22 for around $200?

Last year I bought AE 40g and 38g for just over $200 taxes in for 5000 rounds. Just wondering if there is anything like that out there and if so, how much?
I was at WSS and 5000 Rem was around $350-440 depending on the type.
500 stingers were $68 at the gun show. Fed 525 pack was $23 so $240 ish for 5250.

I am hopeful that prices will come back down. My local shop has lots of rimfire in stock, prices are WAY up though. Supply isn't the issue locally, cost is the issue.

It will be interesting to see how an arbitrary calendar date suddenly resolves an ongoing demand bubble in the US choking off stocking order fulfillment for Canadian distributors.

Our good old Sask Co-ops had Federal 525's on for $188.80+ tax for 5000 a month or so ago. I added another case to the pile. i have about 5-10 years stock of .22 shells at any given time.

I learned long ago about the two things in life that you never want to run low on - a$$wipe and ammunition!

Cabela's has (IIRC) 2,200 rounds, in an ammo can for ~$95, last time I checked. Not quite 5,000 once you add a pair of them up, but pretty close with a pair of ammo cans thrown into the bargain.
