So I decided to shoot up my last batch of CCI Mini Mags today after months of saving it hoping to restock my inventory but this stuff is so rare nowadays it feels like it only exists as internet pictures!

Any one generous enough to share where you're getting your .22's from?

I hear the early Americans used to flatten out the firing pin strike with a nail head, it gets right into the rimfire case edge and does a great job. For primer, they would use a mixture of ground glass and dissolved match heads, and would "swirl" the concoction into and around the rim and let it dry. Fill with powder, cap with a bullet, and you're all set. There you have it: the source of endless rimfire ammunition, rimfire reloading 101!

There is no 22 lr.

Sorry, start shooting shorts. That's all I've seen lately. Lots and lots of shorts.

Lebarons in Ottawa has Remington "Bucket O Bullets" for $62ish.
CCI Blaser etc out of luck there.

Crappy tire and TSC in Kemptville has some bulk in Winchester and Remington. Still not as good as Blaser.
Doesn't help you out west.

Anybody that are close to Le Baron ( non member, sorry), 2 days ago i did pick up 3 bricks (1500 rounds) of CCI Velocitor, they had many more in stock... JP.

You simply need to check often and strike when a supply is delivered to the stores. Don't delay and don't fret over the cost.

I wandered into Italian a couple of months back not really thinking about it. But they'd recently gotten a shipment of Blazer. I was going to buy 4 bricks but then thought better of it and upped it to a case. I did this despite the fact that I'd just bitten into the other case I have. I figure I'm well set for the next year at least and likely closer to 2 years. I'm pretty confident that in that time this shortage due to the US's panic buying will be easing up.

That same day I wandered into International and they had some cases of American Eagle. But with the case of Blazer sitting under the shopping bags in the car I didn't whip out the charge card again.

Circumstances had me back into the Big Smoke again a week later. Both sources were dried up by then.

So check often and have your charge card ready to buy over the phone and then go pick it up at your leisure.

For Wally World and Crappy Tire it's even more important that you haunt them almost daily. And if you insist on buying from these sources then it sure doesn't hurt to talk to the floor guys and ask when the next shipments are coming.

Oh yes, it's not so much about not stocking up when it's available but that my p226 only likes the premium stuff so the selection is limited already by that alone. Appreciate the leads thus far

I got tired of .22's that require premium ammo. Went back to a Ruger MK(3)....premium quality HG that eats anything. No ammo shortage here. Just saying

A major retailer in the US just advertised their suppy of Bucket Of Bullets as being "on sale" at $149.. We have no idea as to just how good our pricing is, providing we can find the supply. FYI another major US retailer was advertising Winchester 333's as being "on sale" at $39.88...We have the same thing here for around $20. Ouch..

I grabbed a brick of Federal from Reliable not long ago, and a brick of CCI standard from Lever Arms last week or so... And a brick+ of CCI subsonic hollow points and CB shorts at a decent price, from 'elsewhere'

Like most of you guys I just buy a brick here and there just for the hell of it, and I'm not seeing any huge shortage.

SFRC has had bucket of bullets in a few times this year.

Now CCI quiets, tjats what i really want, and those are like hens teeth!
