Where are all the primers?

Is there an import freeze that I’m unaware of?

I was told by a major U.S. primer manufacturer several months ago that a much larger percentage of their primer production is going into military ammo these days. Can't imagine that the percentage has dropped since then....

Overall, there are many reasons for the component drought. Many bullet manufactures are making their own ammunition, Sierra just started manufacturing their own in 2021, which would add-up to hundreds of thousands of components from one bullet maker. I've been reloading since 1982 and experienced a few drought periods, however, this drought is the worst I've witnessed.
