it used to be that you could get these kinds of parts dependably from brownells, but their supply of a lot of OEM Remington is going. Remington country Canada doesn't have the stop, and neither dose gavel agency. does anyone know where one of these can be found? would it be easier to have it made?

Edit: A very kind CGNer helped me out and sent me one. As for the rest left wondering 1/8th pins DO work and I fashioned a spring out of music wire.

Remington went out of business a while ago but the rights to the name were bought up. They rights to the company were split up. Rem branded ammo is now a separate company from the firearms company. The firearms company is just getting going again on production. It could be a while before they are ready to supply parts to Brownells and other parts suppliers.

Have you used your browser to find "aftermarket Remington 700 parts?"

This is one of many that shows up

remington 700 parts For Sale at Canada's Wild West

Try Western gun parts in Edmonton AB

That is where I got one that I needed but the old guy had to look for it in his "stash" of parts that are now listed as "factory installation only" because the parts are linked to the trigger mechanism....and they dont want anybody messing with a trigger anymore.

I've had a Model 700 since 1975 and never did figure out how to disassemble the bolt. It's never given me grief either.

Saw them in the last few years, can’t remember for sure I think it was tenda or something like that. I have a few action body’s laying around that are bare, got them in a box with a bunch of other parts, I’m just gonna make bolt stops for them cause I can’t seem to find any anywhere.
