I have been searching the net for some time and can find a lot of cool stuff from the states that looks like a good match for my needs, but I can't seem to find anything in Canada.

I am looking for an effective muzzle brake for .308 cal bullets. The brake should have a closed bottom and fit a 5/8-24 thread. The brake also has to be at least 7/8 in outside diameter.

SO just to be clear, that eliminates the brakes of the style of a tube with a whole bunch of holes drilled in it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Here is a canadian gunsmith, great brakes, decent prices

I didn't think that grizzly was Canadian but neither they or NEA advertise a 5/8-24 brake in .30

Also, I have never seen one of those grizzly brakes in person but they are gun-koted aluminum and that doesn't sit well with me for some reason

Dlask arms has a .30 cal muzzle brake on sale for $55. Don't know if this is exactly what you are looking for but it is .30 calibre available with the thread pattern you want, in Canada.

Second vote for Near. I have one on a TikTac that's great. Give him a call, he'll probably tap it in any thread you need. Same for ATRS, I just haven't dealt with them personally, yet.

I got a badger FTE brake put on my 700P it works like a dream. But it is a little pricey. I got it from Wolverine Supplies

I have a brake on my Rem 700 Tac 20" It used to jump quite a bit before putting on a brake from Kamran at Coretac Solutions. The price isn't bad he can make thread on and clamp on brakes. They are big but they are extremely effective.

Just purchase youself some material, I even show you how to do it, some of these are 5/8=24TPI, while smaller one are 1/2-28, larger one are 3/4-24tpi, some larger one are M18X1 fit sako or Tikka Tac. I make them for pass time. kind of hobbies.
