That's interesting. I've been shooting Swiss schtuff since I was at school back in the early sixties, and I don't recall ever seeing a mis-match K31. Non-matching bayonets, yes, but not the actual rifle itself.

Well back in the day, rifles were released as surplus from government stores, and they had been refurbished to armoury standard before being put into storage. Now rifles are purchased from individuals, gun shops and gun shows. Times have changed.
