Where can I find a Mosin 91/30 bent bolt handle?

But...
Since you're likely going to give it a go on your own, be very very very very careful when you're mounting the base. More than a few "mosin snipers" have been on the EE after someone misdrilled the base on the wrong angle, misaligned the holes, had the drill wander, or the drill angle in the hole was wrong. Seems to be the No1 Mistake made by people at home. Just be wary of it.
 
IIRC there were a couple folks here who had their Mosin bolt body reworked by The Bolt Man in the US (GOOGLE). He charges around 55-65 bux depending on if he's selling you a new body or not. Will stamp the new one with your serial number.

Dunno if this can still be done? I doubt the 91/30 is on anyone's restricted list.

Wow, Some of those Westrifle scoped Mosins are quite ###y looking. And the prices are the most reasonable I have seen. Perhaps I should reconsider building my own. Does anyone own one from West? How is out of the box accuracy?

In terms of price, they have the best. I don't think the seller has much to do with the accuracy of the PU. I don't own one yet, but from what I've read, they are exceptional shooters.

In regards to building your own, you're taking a risk in drilling it yourself, you're buying a new bolt, or bending the original, and buying a scope mount and scope. All in all, with the time it would take, you wouldn't be saving all that much.

As a side note - bending the original isn't feasible per se. The mosin sniper handle was way longer, so requires the old handle being cut, and new knob and rod being made, bent, then fitted and welded in place, then polished smooth.

I was thinking about building a sniper but all things considered i ended up buying a repro sniper. I didnt have time to zero my sniper but honestly, the sniper we can have are truly well put together. I got mine with the hardwood stock, steel machined scope mount, excellent bore. I think that any repro will shoot great if they have a very good-excellent bore. The laminated ones that Westrifle carry look great:)
