Still looking to find parts for a Husqavarna (husky5000) rifle, the bolt stop is broken. I Was told I Would have to get one custom made, true?

Phone Western Gun Parts. Shoot an Email off to TradeEx Canada. I'd cal them as your best bet for finding one.

Having one made and fitted is a sure bet, but gonna cost a bit more, probably.

Cheers
Trev

Western Gun parts was the first place Itried to find the bolt stop, they just
laughed at my request. Will try to contact Tradexfor this item. Thanks for the
suggestion.

"...they just laughed..." Husqavarna's haven't been made for years. Western likely gets such requests several times a month if not more.
Rumour has it that the M5000 was made by Krico, in Germany, for Carl Gustav. Try searching that.

Sunray,
The "Husky" and "H-5000" were a Tradewinds creature and existed as two different rifles;
The "Husky H-5000" made from a 1640 action with a 560mm barrel and the Krico actioned ones. Already in the late '60s Tradewinds bought rifles from Krico (the M/600 short action - offered in 222 Rem, 222 Rem Mag, 243 Win, 308 Win, 22-250 Rem and 223 Rem) and later had a run made with the M/700 (standard action) wich they named the Husky 5000 series.... these guys liked confusion.

On the other hand, from '65 to '70 HVA bought some M/600 but only chambered in 222 Rem. These were named m/2001 and 2002. This was to compete against the Sako Vixen.

Bullseye61,
You are talking about the bolt stop / ejector blade right?
If so, your easiest way to find one will be to talk to Trade Ex, but will have to strip a receiver. But these are not so hard to fabricate, all you need is a Dremel and a set of good hand files.

Hi BAribal
I have a 1640 husqvarna made in 1961, it's in 30-06. Question is, the ejector blade has a lot of play or slop so can it be tightened by simply removing the action screws, bottom metal and stock to access it?
Everything else about the rifle is beautiful and it shoots sub moa. I don't want to take it apart if I don't have to?
Thank you
