Where can I find K98 cleaning rod ?

I was just wondering if there was somewhere that I could find a cleaning rod with the # 56 on it for a 1938 147 Model 98. Any info would be great, Thanks

Ebay! all the way... I bought repo's for around $10 and original unnumbered ones for about $ 50....

Be sure which one you want, the long (320mm) one or the short (250mm) one.

There is a place down by Detroit called World War Supply. I bought an excellent repro for my K98 there. While you are there check out all the other cool stuff. You can buy from them on ebay but it is cheaper to order from them direct.

1938 is going to have the short 10" rod I think. There is a seller on Gunbroker that has original numbered rods and can probably match up your serial. They aren't cheap but original rods generally aren't. Repro's are junk and could damage the threads in you stock although apparently some are now made with correct threads. Just be careful if you buy a repro.
