First off, I'd like to say I aint going to get a McMillan stock that costs more than the rifle did originally. I was hoping ramline made one but they only make M1 stocks not M1As. Anybody know who makes/where you can get a cheap synthetic stock (without the selector cut-out?

Thanks

just buy a USGI stock, then fill it and paint it.

mine turned out great.

the paint is krylon camo paint from canadian tire, 7.99 per can (i think?)

the orange you see is actually dummy rounds

the stock is from numrich, but now u need import license to get it...

try girlsguns&fastbikes, he had some as well

Ahhh, k. looked like a fluorescent paint. I actually have a stock here, needs some serious prep work though> I purchased it from numrich (along with about 10 others, since modified and pistol gripped) and it is an older style then most. THere is no checkering on it, but the finish on it seems somewhat bubbled/flaked. My intentions were to keep this one and refinish as original (painted with CDN tire krylon though) rather then Pistol gripping it, as I have never seen one like this before, though I am sure they are more common then not. If interested, contact me via PM, but be forewarned, this is not a simple drop in...I would do some finishing before installing. Also have a pistol grip stock (made from Original USGI stock by myself) lying around here somewhere that I have no use for anymore.

I got mine from mikebaker on this board. Didn't have eny problems getting it across the border (didn't know the potential for problems existed until after). Just filled it and chopped it, time to final fit the M4 stock adaptor to it and I'll be off to the races.
