I've never heard that there is a problem with commercial 30-06.
For that matter, there is a detailed report on SAMI spec 30-06 compared to Lake City military ball done by the CMP - see below.
The CMP store sells 30-06 Federal 150 grain FMJ so I assume it is OK.
I cleaned LeBaron out of the cheap 30-06 FMJ the last time they had one of their no-tax sales. I notice they don't offer that on ammo sales now.
Most of the mail order places have 30-06 FMJ for around $13 a box.

As a result of some customer concerns as to the reported high gas-port pressure of Lake City 72 .30-06 ammunition and suitability for use in the M1 Garand, the CMP contracted with H.P. White Laboratory, INC. to conduct Chamber and Port pressure tests of a sample of this ammo. Conclusions made by H.P. White were:
Chamber Pressure - The average peak chamber pressure of the Lake City Arsenal, Caliber .30-06 ammunition, though uncorrected for the material of the cartridge cases, was well within the safe maximum pressure recommended by Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute (SAAMI) and was essentially identical to the average peak chamber pressure of the SAAMI reference ammunition.
Port Pressure - The average gas-port pressure of the Lake City Arsenal, Caliber .30-06 ammunition in each of the three improvised gas-port test barrels, was less than comparable firings of the SAAMI Reference ammunition. When compared with their respective, peak chamber pressures, the Lake City ammunition lost pressure more rapidly between the chamber and gas-port than did the SAAMI Reference ammunition which supports the assumption that the burning rate of the Lake City Arsenal, Caliber .30-06 Springfield ammunition may be faster than the ammunition loaded to SAAMI Standards.
Bullet Velocities - The bullet velocities of the Lake City ammunition were slightly lower than the SAAMI recommended minimum for this weight of bullet (150 grain).
